Dental Office Patient Safety
The best level of dental office patient safety is accomplished with high tech dental office safety design. The page is a education in dental office design safety potential and high tech dental equipment safety.

High Tech Dental Equipment Safety
The finest dental equipment protects the patients; our high-tech treatment room equipment is safe because it stops potential contact with bodily fluids (blood and saliva) that are sucked into the dental water lines. When the dentist removes his foot from the pedal that controls the handpiece or dental drill, it can cause suction of saliva and/or blood from a patient’s mouth into the handpiece or drill and water hose. For maximum dental patient safety, we only use equipment that pushes air and water out of the dental drill when the dentist lifts his foot off of the pedal. High tech dental equipment at maximum patient safety protects the patient.
Private & Safe Dental Care Rooms – Safe Dental Office Design
Our private dental care rooms are a first class way to receive safe dental care. Our dental care rooms provide privacy, purified air and greatly reduces the risks of airborne pathogens, such as tuberculosis, colds, bacteria and viruses that can make you sick. The finest dental office design combined with high tech dental equipment maximizes dental patient safety.
Two Levels Of Electronic Dental Air Filtration
The whole dental office has two separate air conditioning systems with clean electronically purified air that remove airborne contaminants. Two separate air-conditioning systems that filter and cool the air give us the choice as one system is for the office and the other is for the treatment rooms. The customized air conditioning systems has a separate room-intake-duct, that forces air into our dental care rooms and another duct that suctions air at the same time. The two levels of electronic air purification filter the air for safe, clean air that is beyond average dental office safety standards.
Dental office air safety is another first class benefit to our patients and to our staff.
Lead Lined Walls in Patient Care Room
The patient care room walls are lead-lined to protect everyone from dental x-ray exposure taken in other treatment rooms. Our advanced dental x-ray equipment is specially designed to minimize scatter radiation and patient exposure in and out of the patient care rooms. Every possible level of patient safety has been addressed to provide the safest dental care possible with the design of the office and high tech dental equipment that is safe.
Automatic Power Glass Doors
Our patient care rooms have sliding automatic glass doors, which offer privacy, protection, and peace and patient safety. The doors separate the treatment rooms from the noise and outside pollutants. The safety of rapid air exchange, private rooms and high tech dental equipment make your care a first class experience.
TV Sets Mounted on the Ceiling
OK, we know this is not a safety feature, per se, but it is a first class way to use your valuable time while you are receiving your dental treatment in a private dental care room. We have found that the patients are less anxious with a pair of headphones and the remote control right in their hands.
Biofilm Build-Up in the Dental Water Lines
Biofilm is a bacteria build up in the water lines that can endanger the health of our patients. Patients can be exposed to bacterial in water lines when the handpiece is running or when water is sprayed into the mouth. We have separate distilled water systems that solve this problem; only distilled water goes into our treatment room equipment. As an additional level of protection, each dental care room has an antibacterial filter that kills any germs that may get into the distilled water system. The safety of our treatment room water system combined with an additional antibacterial filtration system protects our patients during their care.
Sterilized Dental Drills (both high and slow speed)
Sterilization utilizes heat and pressure to kill germs while disinfection is just a wipe with antibacterial solution that kills less bacteria than a sterilizer. It is more costly to sterilize handpieces (because the heat and pressure in the sterilization unit ruins dental drills over time) it remains the best way to protect the patients. We sterilize every instrument and each handpiece (drills) every time, for every patient for every procedure.
Magnified Camera Systems
Every dental care room has high-tech intraoral camera systems that magnify your teeth up to 26 time its size. The quality of every aspect of you dental care increases when the dentist can see minute details.

A disposable plastic barrier fits over the camera that is removed every time, for every patient. The barrier is used with the best systems and is the safest way to use an “in the mouth” magnified camera system. Some cameras are not high enough quality to see through a plastic barrier. These models are wiped off with a disinfectant that is not as safe as a plastic barrier.
Dental Staff With Extensive Experience
The dental staff can bring patient safety to superior levels. The staff has to be reliable enough to follow the safety protocols. Experienced staff understand the risks and are very careful. The skills of the dentist are the most important element for successful treatment. High tech dental equipment is wonderful but the skills of the dentist is the single most important element in successful treatment.
